TapHere is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Software Engineer, Thread Integration to join our dynamic team in supporting space domain mission applications. The selected candidate will assemble and provide configuration-control of the integrated baseline of subsystem software, data sets, and automated tests.

Experience Required:

• Perform test execution, capture and organize verification evidence
• Manage the defect life cycle (including triage, routing, tracking, and closure verification), and collaborates directly with Test Developers to identify and distinguish system defects from test defects. Continuous integration events occur throughout the program, and each build requires environment preparation, system assembly, execution of regression and new-capability tests, analysis of failures, root-cause participation, and reporting of results.
• Ensure alignment with external programs, maintain traceability to acceptance criteria, and update integration workflows as new capabilities are introduced
• Research, design, and development of software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of software products
• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the target application
• Work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system
• Contribute to determining, estimating, and validating the cost and scope of software efforts to ensure software performed meets program cost, schedule, and technical constraints

Experience Required:
• Active TS SCI
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Skills Required:

• Proficient knowledge of software engineering and practical knowledge of project management
• Capable of some project/process management
• Strong communication skills
• Shows initiative to recommend enhancements to systems and processes and achieve operational targets
• Proficient with development of software test procedures, software programs, and related documentation
