TapHere is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Mid-to-Senior System Engineer to join our dynamic team in supporting a Government customer.
• The engineer will be working with a large-scale enterprise applications using web technologies, distributed computation and storage frameworks with the system hosted on virtualized and cloud-computing platforms.
• The System Engineer works both independently with little supervision as well as engage with a team to achieve overall project objectives.
Responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with other engineers to plan, design and develop within an AWS environment.
• Manage guacamole virtual desktops and provision user accounts and environments with xrdp.
• Provision and manage Keycloak; authentication mechanism for realms, clients, and user roles.
• Supporting the entire Software Development Lifecycle with an emphasis on build and release management.
• Troubleshooting/managing docker (docker compose, backup and restore docker components, etc.)
• Analyzing continuously the AWS environment for technical and process improvements (e.g. integration of security measures, faster security and software updates, improved automation, reduced glitches and software failures, etc.).
• Maintaining the deployed system, deploying updates and fixes, investigating and resolving technical and network issues, providing technical support to end-users as needed.
• Collaborating and leading with other engineers to plan, design and develop the AWS environment that includes cohesive CI/CD pipelines.

Experience Required: |
Experience Required:
• 4+ years' experience with RHEL and/or CentOS system and/or network administration.
• 4+ years' experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud.
• 4+ years' experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations.
• 4+ years' experience with agile teamwork, and diverse multi-site geographical team collaboration.
• 4+ years' experience with Docker.

Skills Required: |
• IAT Level II certification - Security + certification required
• Working knowledge of troubleshooting/managing docker (docker compose, backup and restore docker components, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Linux. Including but not limited to SELinux, daemons, user management, storage management, and log diving techniques.
• Network methodologies/using squid service for transit proxy configuration.
• Familiarity with nginx and reverse proxy configurations.
• Working knowledge of troubleshooting/managing docker (docker compose, backup and restore docker components, etc.)
• Familiarity with JFrog/Artifactory (configuring repos and artifacts and integration with docker hub registry)
• Able to manage guacamole virtual desktops and provision user accounts and environments with xrdp.
• Ability to use AWS CLI tool to quickly perform tasks and gather data regarding AWS services (EC2, S3, EBS, etc.)
• Strong background in bash scripting to automate tasks and operations on multiple fabrics.
• Understand how to provision and manage Keycloak; authentication mechanism for realms, clients, and user roles.
Preferred, but Not Required
• Red Hat Certified System Engineer (RHCSE) DOD program support experience.
