Description:

Our mission is to create small, versatile, next generation SDR products for the mobile and government/first-responder markets.

We're looking for a hardware engineer (BSEE) with an RF concentration, and optionally some Xilinx FPGA and VHDL/Verilog gateware design experience, and C/C++ experience.

The ideal candidate will be someone ready for a small-company culture where not everything will be strictly regimented, is comfortable in roles that can sometimes be a bit broadly defined, and isn't expecting a formal environment. You should be OK with not disappearing into a crowd; you'll be working independently and in small teams.

Experience Required:

Background in:
-- RF Circuit board layout, floor planning, RF-friendly signal routing, impedance matching, loss calculation.
-- Circuit board production: Stack-up, via management, substrate selection;
-- RF circuit design: Link budgeting, filtering, signal up/down conversion.

Experience working with:
-- Exposure to both analog and digital circuits.
-- RF analog front ends; filtering and signal routing.
-- Digital acquisition and data back ends (USB preferred)

Great things to have:
-- FPGA platforms (Xilinx) on the gateware design level (Vivado, ISE, etc). Verilog/VHDL
-- Experience with MicroBlaze and Xilinx Vitis
-- Experience with USB controllers such as FTDI 3xx and Cypress
-- Microcontroller experience in general.

Skills Required:

Skills desired:
-- Proficiency in CAD packages like ORCAD or Altium.
-- Proficiency with Matlab, Simulink and/or Octave.
-- Firmware development in Embedded C/C++ or similar.
-- RF-level test and troubleshooting; impedance matching, loss calculations.

Compensation package includes base salary and benefits. Base salary depends on requirements for education/degree, skills, and professional experience. Annualized base salary range for this position is: $100K and up
