TapHere is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer III, SR to join the team in the Annapolis Junction, MD.
The position desires the Software Engineer with Development experience and knowledge of operating software programs, configuring hardware devices and develop critical procedural steps. The position seeks strong knowledge in a Linux environment developing and managing code requiring hands on experience with Linux internals along with Python (interpreted language) and C (compiled language).
The position requires knowledge with:
• Candidates to complete tasks with underlying systems that run devices and control networks.
• Software Development and knowledge of programming across a variety of architectures and experience with embedded software.
• Strong functional knowledge in a Linux environment to include kernel development, advanced networking, memory use/exploitation.
• Operational experience with applications to complete tasks with underlying systems that run devices and control networks.
• Understand and utilize Python and C, C++ and have good grasp of Ghidra, and Git.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Cyber Security and development expertise to design, test, implement, and manage safeguards against cyberattacks of the system to include:
• Identify, mitigate, and resolve vulnerabilities within existing security systems
• Work directly with other IT systems personnel in testing and assessing potential security problems and support the development of organization wide security measures.
• Prepare performance reports and communicate system status to keep users and leadership informed.
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards, attending educational workshops for increased technical knowledge, and reviewing publications.
