Description:

TapHere is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer IV, SME in Belcamp, MD.

The Systems Engineer IV is responsible for:
• Applying system’s engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement.
• Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Communicate with other TDP project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives.
• Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, to include: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area.
• Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents.
• Supervise and mentor subordinate project and team staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Experience with the creation and modification of Puppet and PowerShell automated installation scripts. Including Bash and Ruby
• Understanding and working with build pipelines
• Troubleshooting DCGS FoS component interoperability issues
• Preparing the automated software packages for delivery to the field
• Experience integrating hardware drivers, software releases, and IAVA packages.
• Java or C# experience.

Experience Required:

Knowledge/experience with some of the following tools:
• Atlassian suite, this includes JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
• Jenkins, Maven
• Nexus used to hold compiled binaries.
• Ansible (automating SW deployments)
• OpenShift (VM and container platform)

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in STEM field.
• 7 years of position-relevant work experience.
• Able to obtain DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level III within 180 days from start date.

Skills Required:

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in STEM field.
• Experience with DoD 5000.02 documentation requirements.
• Experience with use case development.
• Experience with requirements derivation.
• Experience with developing technical project artifacts.
• Familiarity with Agile software development process.
• Experience with software engineering processes.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle.

Clearance Requirements:
• TS/SCI eligible
