TapHere! Technology is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team in supporting a Government customer. The team is building a large-scale enterprise application using web technologies, distributed computation and storage frameworks, and sophisticated, cutting-edge domain analytics, with the system hosted on virtualized and cloud-computing platforms. The Software Engineer will work both independently with little supervision as well as engage with a team.
The Software Engineer plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications:
• BS degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience OR
• MS degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance required.
Compensation package includes base salary and benefits. Base salary depends on requirements for education/degree, skills, and professional experience. Annualized base salary range for this position is: $85K and up

• GIT expertise and patching experience
• DevSecOps/CI/CD pipelines, C++, Java, Qt framework (GUI), pub/sub messaging;
• PostgreSQL, Linux environments;
• Ansible Scripting, GIT/Jenkins (preferable);
• Agile methodologies and the full software development cycle;
• Knowledge and/or experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, machine learning and multi-threaded applications is a plus.
