Be a part of a winning team that maintains and supports mission critical production applications for the Navy. In the Linux Systems Engineer role, you will conduct limited-duration field support to deploy mission application products and provide support for Linux/Solaris platforms. You will be responsible for deploying mission applications, along with providing system administration and technical support. In addition to providing deployment and support to customers, you will deploy, manage and maintain the production suite on site. This includes OS and application installation (on premises and cloud environment), security hardening, installation automation, patch maintenance, and system accreditation.

Use your engineering skills to determine alternate methods for more efficient deployment and provide engineering support to the Systems Integration team as needed. You will also get the opportunity for travel to agencies in the continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).

BS degree in engineering, computer science, IT, or related technical field.
4+ years relevant professional experience with Defense or Intelligence systems.
Excellent communication / customer service skills.
TS / SCI Clearance REQUIRED!

Demonstrated skills and abilities:
• Support of Linux/Solaris OS server platforms
• Installing, building, and problem resolution for Linux/Solaris based servers.
• Managing and maintaining Linux/Solaris in a VMware environment.
• Extensive Linux scripting
• RHEL Certification
• CompTIA Security + Certification
