TapHere has an opening for a Sr. Systems Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO. The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.
The Senior Architect will provide support and subject matter expertise to engineers working the entire systems engineering V-model.
The Senior Architect will provide presentations and an architectural model documenting as-built and to-be capabilities, functions, operations and standards of software and hardware systems.
The Senior Architect will lead the development of architectural artifacts including the program’s Architectural Description Document.
The Senior Architect will support Government meetings and reviews, development team meetings and company program reviews to communicate ongoing development of architectural artifacts, models and CDRL items.
Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts to enhance mission operations.
Support the development of technological concepts which improve system performance and mission capabilities.
May act as a technical lead for limited aspects of a project
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Experience Required:

6+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline. Alternatively, 4 years of prior related experience with a Graduate Degree.
Experience developing Architecture products for DoD or Commercial programs.
Experience performing model based systems engineering.
Experience with MagicDraw or similar Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) application
Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Skills Required:

Preferred Additional Skills
Degree or relevant coursework in Systems Engineering
Strong background with DoDAF 2.0 using common tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, or other standard industry tools.
Experience mentoring and training staff in the use of Magic Draw and MBSE principles.
Experience in supporting modeling, simulation, and analysis of national security space related problems desired
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Effective organization level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
