Job Title: Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA)

Description:

M.S. in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering; or a B.A. or B.S. in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering with 4 years of experience in Operations Research and Analysis in military related matters or subjects. 5 years of military operations, intelligence, plans or resourcing experience. 2 years of strategic wargame experience. 6 years of operations research system analysis (ORSA) experience in qualitative and quantitative analyses of complex military and related problems supporting DOD planning, programming and budgeting system (PPBS), Requirements Development/Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) and/or major defense acquisition programs (MDAPS). 3 years of experience leading study teams, operational planning teams, communities of interest, and/or other diverse groups in the examination of complex problems and the development of recommended solutions using illustrative briefings, narratives, and related vignettes and scenarios, that serve to enhance understanding of those problems.

Skills Required:

Work history shall demonstrate 3 years of experience in design thinking theory, doctrine, philosophy and practice. Work history shall demonstrate 3 years of experience in capturing data, typically as a data collector during the seminars. Work history shall demonstrate 3 years of experience in using qualitative analyses while leading various working groups to problem frame by thinking deeply/appreciating the problem, describing vividly relevant aspects of the problem, and producing a means of communicating the problem to senior level decision makers.
